APGA 2025 Exhibition

---- Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre | 18–21 October 2025

The Tapex Industrial team enjoyed a fantastic few days at the 2025 APGA Convention & Exhibition in Brisbane. Hosted by the Australian Pipelines and Gas Association (APGA), the 57th Annual Convention brought together leaders from across the gas, energy and infrastructure sectors, giving us a valuable platform to reconnect with long-standing partners and meet new faces within the industry.

The Pipeline Industry's Premier Annual Gathering

The APGA Convention & Exhibition is the leading annual event for the Australian pipeline and gas industry, drawing executives, engineers, environmental and safety managers, government representatives and consultants from across the sector. The program covered the themes shaping the industry, including future fuels, pipeline operations, construction techniques, new developments and health and safety.

For Tapex Industrial, it was four days well spent among the people who design, build, operate and protect Australia’s pipeline infrastructure.

Showcasing Dig Safe™ and Introducing Two New Products

The convention gave us a great opportunity to showcase our full Dig Safe™ range of underground asset protection solutions, and to formally introduce two exciting new products: AssetPro™ and ProTrace™.

Both generated strong interest on the exhibition floor and prompted some excellent conversations, with customers keen to explore how these solutions can support future projects and improve asset protection in the field. We look forward to sharing more on both products in the coming months.

A Strong Team on the Ground

Tapex was well represented in Brisbane, with a team spanning our Australian, New Zealand and international partner network:

  • Paul Cotchett, Group CEO, Tapex Group
  • Callum Rossi, Group Strategy & Operations Manager, Tapex Group
  • Yannick Joubeaux, CEO, Overpipe®
  • Mike Ingram, Copperhead Industries®
  • Vicki Ansell & Tim Cutfield, Empak NZ (part of the Tapex Group)
  • Michelle Moreira, Business Manager, Tapex Industrial

Having our international partners from Overpipe® and Copperhead Industries® alongside us reflects the strength of the partnerships behind the Dig Safe™ range, and the shared commitment to protecting underground assets across pipeline, gas and energy projects.

Strengthening Relationships Beyond the Exhibition Floor

Some of the most valuable moments of the week happened away from the stand. On 20 October 2025, we hosted a relaxed offsite dinner with customers and suppliers from Nacap, Haytel, AGC and G.V. Kinsman. It was a great opportunity to strengthen relationships in a warm and informal setting, and a reminder that this industry is built as much on trust and good conversation as it is on technical capability.

We closed the week with a memorable dinner in Sydney, a fitting send-off for our international visitors and the perfect way to wrap up a busy and rewarding event.

Looking Ahead

The energy and optimism at APGA 2025 reflected an industry investing in its future, and in the safety and protection of the assets that underpin it. Tapex Industrial is proud to play its part, and we thank everyone who visited us, shared their time and helped make the week such a success.
